Entry #1 - Introduction
A Little Background on Me
Growing up I was super into anything that was drawn action or adventure. Comics, cartoons, manga, TCG’s, and anime were all mediums that I would spend hours every day immersed in. These weren’t only things that I enjoyed interacting with, but making. I remember spending nights making my own comic books and TCG cards, and also meeting up with friends on play dates to spend more time drawing and creating. Of course none of my projects were ever good, but they were always such fun to make, and I dreamed about one day becoming an artist!
Eventually I started to branch out into other hobbies as well, such as gaming and music, and starting showing a lot more interest and love to those. Despite this, I’ve never stopped drawing. On my notepads, on tests(maybe not a good thing,) and any other time I have access to paper or napkins. I still love to draw. So, I figure after all these years of doodles with no instruction or guidance, I ought to start getting a little bit better at it. It’s because of that reason, that this blog exists. I plan to start studying art in my free time and posting my progress on this blog. So if you’re interested in seeing my growth, feel free to check-in every so often!
What This Blog Is
This is an art progression blog, so I’ll be making posts at various points along my art journey. I won’t be posting every single drawing or art work I create. Instead, I’ll be focused on sharing updates on lessons I’ve learned and challenges faced. For example; The first blog post following this one will be focused on my experience with lesson 1 from Drawabox.com. And the post following that will likely be on the 250 box challenge. I do plan on including random drawings I’ve done in my posts, but those won’t be the focus. I’d like to be able to look back on this blog in the future and see a clear progression across each post, so I wont be including much that isn’t necessary.
That about sums things up. Following this, all posts will be focused on art! See ya!
